zombieravenation-deactivated201 asked: So (unfortunately) I follow Cosmo on facebook, since normally it makes me laugh uncontrollably. But today they posted this article: cosmopolitan(.)com/sex-love/relationship-advice/his-biggest-turn-offs and frankly I'm pretty offended by the way they're going about putting the whole message across, so I thought I'd send it to you and hear your take on it! (also: I swear, Cosmo just picks the douchiest guys for "quotes" in articles. It's ridiculous!)
Oh, my gosh. THANK YOU for the link to the article. In true Cosmo fashion, it is horrid.
Quick summary: the entire article gives four pieces of advice to women, telling them what they shouldn’t do in their partner’s home. As usual, Cosmo pretends to be helpful and friendly; they’re just stopping you from embarrassing yourself, ladies! And they do so by telling you that: you’re too eager, too inconsiderate, too controlling, and too uptight, while the men, of course, shouldn’t have to talk to you like you are a person but instead should just get to bitch to a women’s magazine about how much they HAAAAATE when you move his toenail clippers out of place. Talking is hard.
If you don’t mind, iwillloveyou-better (and I hope you don’t!), I’m going to comment on it in a new entry so that if it gets a bit long, I can stick it behind a ‘read more’ cut without clogging up people’s dash.
Thank you so much for passing the link along! <3
And seriously? The guys Cosmo interviews? They’re usually so immature that they hardly deserve a girlfriend at all. Where does Cosmo find these people?!
